Swiss farming families provide you with a warm welcome and are happy to show you everything there is to discover on their farm and which products they produce. Farm Open Day

The name says it all: on Farm Open Day, more than 100 farming families throughout Switzerland open their farm gates and invite you to come and discover life on their farm.

Visit on the farm

The project invites pupils of all ages to discover the farm in an active and playful manner. Observe animals, make your own cheese, smell the difference between hay and silage and recognise the connections behind it – all this forms the basis for sustainable learning. School on the farm thus promotes children’s awareness of themselves and of their environment.

From the farm

Strawberries, tomatoes or milk from your local region? You’ll find fresh produce in your local farm shop. And our farming families offer a great deal more than just vegetables or meat from their farm – drinks in the “Besenbeiz” farm tavern, a night in the hay, or trekking with animals – there’s plenty to experience on Swiss farms.
